This dress was such a joy to wear! It is simple, elegant, and SO comfortable. The strapless ballgown silhouette is classic and flattering, with just-right detail on the sweetheart neckline and the hem to elevate the look. Buttons run down the full length of the dress - the buttons from the seam to the waist are decorative, while the rest are functional and cover the zipper. There are several layers of crinoline under the skirt, which could be removed depending on how full of a skirt you want (less crinoline would give more of an A-line shape to the skirt). The bodice has very structured boning and a support bra built in, while the skirt flows out evenly, which is perfect for a petite bride with bigger hips. The fabric is unbelievably soft and while there is a lot of volume when the dress isn't bustled, the material is not heavy or overwhelming. It was easy to move in all night and photographed beautifully for portraits and on the dance floor. The best part? It has deep pockets! Alterations Altered by a high-end tailor to fit a petite bride (5'1" without heels). French bustle added - the bustle is easy to transition into (ribbons are numbered) and beautifully maintains the shape of the dress and hem.
